Foreign Travel Advice

This massive 112 day trip is one of our more popular journeys across South America as it takes in so much of the continent, including many of the really popular highlights along with a whole bunch of lesser known gems. If you would like to ride horses across the Argentinian Cordillera with the Gauchos, to trek the W Walk of Torres del Paine and to cross the wilderness of the high Altiplano, then this trip might well be the one for you.

It explores off the beaten track through Colombia, Bolivia and Argentina as well as visiting the more predictable destinations, such as Cuzco and Machu Picchu, Buenos Aires and the Salt Pans at Uyuni.

This is a trip for someone with plenty of time, who is happy to share this amazing continent with a group of likeminded travellers.

3 night stay in a community run eco lodge to explore the Amazon Jungle
Go white water rafting, canyoning or trekking in Banos
Try horse back riding or mountain biking around the stunning landscape
Visit the crater lake of Quilotoa
Stay in the classic colonial city of Cuenca
Buy an original Panama hat direct from the factory
2 nights camping on the Pacific beach at Punta Sal
Try your hand at surfing or just relax with a cool drink
Explore the Chimu Adobe ruins of Chan Chan and the ancient Moche Pyramids
3 nights to trek in the Cordillera Blanca from Huaraz

A great experience for folk who are happy to go with the flow. A lot of miles to cover, but time to do it properly, with plenty of multi day stays in one location to balance off the driving. There are high altitudes at times and a mix of climates from the steaming jungles of the Amazon to the frozen heights of the Andes. This all makes for an immensely rewarding journey which can be challenging at times.

Spend 3 nights at our fantastic Ecuadorian ecolodge taking in many activities such as boat trips on the Napo River visits to local communities and treks through the jungle to some spectacular waterfalls and bat caves!
