Insurance.

Vehicle Accident Insurance:

In many countries we visit, the local vehicle insurance includes either very limited passenger accident liability or none at all. We have therefore arranged our own passenger liability protection through Lloyds of London, one of the largest insurance groups in the world. This policy, which is similar to those used by European coach operators, has a total indemnity of £3,000,000 per incident. The high cost of this insurance, which is included in the trip prices, should be considered when comparing our prices with those of some other operators. Your personal travel insurance policy is separate and provides additional benefits to our accident liability policy.

Personal Travel Insurance:

It is a condition of booking that you have comprehensive travel insurance. Click here for booking conditions. If you cannot prove you have travel insurance you may not be allowed on the trip. Dragoman Overland recommend their own insurance, but you must ensure whatever policy you have has been designed for adventure travel and will cover you for personal accident, medical and repatriation costs, and loss, damage or theft of personal belongings. Most policies limit baggage cover for valuable items, such as cameras and jewellery, and impose security conditions. You must read your policy to make sure you understand these. Warning: Travel policies only cover overseas medical expenses and we therefore highly recommend that you take out an insurance policy to cover future consequential loss that you may incur (e.g. loss of earnings, disability, medical care, etc.) caused by illness, accident or injury.

An Overland Policy:

We can supply a policy that has been designed especially for overland travel. You do not have to purchase this policy, but you must have one with similar benefits.
