Dragoman Overland Adventure Travel & Family Adventure Holiday
Our family adventure holidays have been designed to appeal to children as well as adults. They are open to all families with kids and teenagers aged 7 to 18. Think of this as your alternative to the annual ski holiday. Yes, the neighbours may have been to Val d’Isere but they won’t have taken the kids camping in the Serengeti, (yes, our first family ever were the Jones’).
We combine excitement, relaxation, learning and fun. They are active trips and an essential element is meeting the local people, whether it is a football match with Namibian children, visiting a local school or meeting the indigenous people of Rajasthan. We visit countries as a whole, rather than just the sanitised tourist sites. There may be a couple of long day drives, which are all part of the fun, as you will be travelling through extraordinary areas of the world. Every day will be different, with different challenges and excitement.
EAST AFRICA RETURNS TO BUSINESS AS USUAL
2008 began dreadfully for Kenya and understandably families have not been quick to book a family based holiday that included Kenya.
However as of 26th February 2008, things in Kenya have quietened down and life is returning to normal and we will be running our trips through kenya as usual.
Whilst for local caught up in the troubles, the events were very serious indeed, for the visitor it really was nothing more than an inconvenience. Kenya desperately needs its tourist industry to get back to normal.
Tanzania ONLY Family Safari
We do understand that some of you may not want to visit Kenya and so we have researched and come up with a stunning NEW TANZANIA ONLY, family itinerary. We have to say, this really is a cracking itinerary and for a first timer to Africa is fantastic value.

Kenya & Tanzania Family Adventure Holiday
We are now able to confirm that we will be running the East Africa Family Adventure Holiday as planned in both Kenya and Tanzania, including the Rift Vallay, Naivasha, Nakuru and Western Kenya. We do have a contingency route available in case things should change, but we are now pretty hopeful that we can run the usual itinerary. The contingency itinerary would involve spending more time in Tanzania. If you are already booked on a trip and would prefer not to visit Kenya, you might like to consider changing to our new Tanzania ONLY Family Holiday.

Morocco Family Adventure Holiday
Yes, I am the first to admit it, it is hot in Morocco in the summer,
but is it TOO hot for a Morocco family adventure?. Well, I would have
to say no, but then you probably think I’m after your business. Well,
yes, but I think I can speak with a little authority as I took my family
and three other families to Morocco a couple of years back and we had
an absolutely cracking time. It was hot (in fact that year Morocco
had it’s hottest summer for many years), but we all had a great time.
We have tried to build in swimming pools, fresh water springs and
the beach into this Morocco family adeventure. The hotels we stay in
are really good fun and as a holiday with a difference, this one is
hard to beat (where else can you camp with camels in the sand dunes
of the Sahara.
Finally a real plus is the cost of the airfares to Morocco. I have
just checked out current Easyjet prices to Marrakech and for the summer
departure I chose the flights and they are UNDER £115 for a return
flight for mid July. That means that for flights, trip and kitty for
a family of 4 it will cost approximately £3800. Compare that to Club
Med!!
Book up soon, before the flights go up.

India Family Adventure Holiday
In October and over Christmas we run our first set of Indian Family Adventures. Based on itineraries that we have run for years with our standard overlands, this looks like it will be a real winner. Again please, please, please book early due to flights. For Christmas in India the flights can get very hard to find if you leave it too late.
