Route: Ushuaia to Rio de Janeiro or v.v.

Length of Section: 23 Nights

Profile: A moderately paced journey with a great mix of wildlife, scenery and cities. Plenty of must see sites and those less known as well. Road conditions will vary but much on good surfaces, travelling through huge wide-open spaces, with some long drives. Climatic conditions from, hot sunny beaches, steamy wetlands and cooler Patagonian mountains.

Adventure Rating: Moderate

Crew: 2 crew and local guides as necessary.

Vehicle: Classic Dragoman truck.

Accommodation: Mainly campsites, some wildcamps, hostels/hotels. (80% camping, 20% hotels)

Overland through the vast Pampas, home to the cowboy Gauchos

Nights 12-15: Argentinian Wetlands:

Boat trips and wildlife treks in the Pantanal of the Esteros del Ibera
Jesuit ruins of San Ignacio de Mini Mission

Nights 16-23: Argentina & Brazil:

2 full days to discover the unbelievable Iguazu Falls
3 days along Brazil's Emerald Coast around Parati
Laid back boat trips to islands off Parati
