trip details for east african family safari (FEA)

Message from the Directors. 'If you would like to try out our East Africa Family Adventure but fear that it will all be too hard and too scary, perhaps you should give Dragoman Overland a call. Two or us directors have travelled across East Africa a number of times with our families and know the routes pretty well. East Africa does have a dubious reputation, especially in the cities, but one of the beauties of overland travel is that you are travelling as a group, along routes that we have travelled for many years. Yes, it does seem a far cry from life at home and all those questions about loos, showers, health, comfort, food, etc. do loom large in your mind when you think of taking the kids to Africa. You are not alone, most people prefer to talk their concerns through in-depth. In fact to be totally honest every time I take the children off to Africa, I do have the same concerns, and yet every time I get there I wonder why.' I really feel that this style of adventure travel does make a fantastic holiday. Kids love camping and overland adventure in Africa is, of course, based around camping. The whole group thing works really well and yes, you do have some long day's drives, but then you are driving through fantastic scenery, with a group of friends, games and books, people to meet along the way and so even the longest days don't seem that bad. The wildlife, the people, the scenery and the magic of Africa is so seductive. For five years now our adventure holidays have been the only holidays that our kids have wanted to do. Anyway, give us a call and have a chat. Call 01728 861133 if you live in the UK.'
