Accommodation: Mixture of hotels/hostels and campsites. During Salvador Carnival we will be staying in a clean, comfortable, tourist class hotel in shared accomodation including breakfast. (50% camping, 50% hotels)

Nights 1-5: Brazilian Highlands:
- Overnight in amazing Rio
- Time to explore unique colonial Ouro Preto
- 2 days to chill in cool mountains above Atlantic Coast
Nights 6-8: Atlantic Coastline:
- Beach hop on the Atlantic coast towards Bahia
Nights 9-13: Chapada Diamantina:
- Head into the beautiful Chapada Diamantina NP
- 3 days guided discovery of the National Park
- Overnight in local homestays and camps
- Visit to Graos de Luz Community Project
- Free time to explore Lencois a beautiful old Diamond town
Nights 14-19: Salvador Carnival:
- Arrive in Salvador to start Carnival
- An abada (shirt) and entry to a bloco, joining in with one of the ‘blocs’ and parade the streets
- A grandstand place to watch the parade of ‘Trio Eletricos’
- Guided half day tour of Historic Salvador
- Dance the night away at Salvador Carnival
- Free time to join in the parties in the street or watch various parades and blocs

- Half day guided Favela Tour
- Wander through the stunning Botanical Gardens
- Head underground into the gold mines of Ouro Preto.
