Overview

79 days between Rio De Janeiro and Quito or vice versa...

This epic trip takes you right the way across South America from Quito to Rio, from steaming jungle to icy mountain passes, from sparkling salt flats to Brazil's beautiful beaches. Starting in Ecuador's capital, overlanding through the Andes then down Peru's Pacific Coast, you’ll visit the colonial town of Arequipa and the dramatic Colca Canyon before heading inland to Machu Picchu. Crossing the Altiplano, you’ll head through Bolivia, visiting the surreal Uyuni Salt Flats before crossing into Argentina's Lake District. We ride out with gauchos on a unique-to-Dragoman estancia (ranch) stay before overlanding across the pampas to Buenos Aires. Going north, to one of South America’s must-sees, the mighty Iguazu Falls, you’ll cross the Brazil border to explore the Emerald Coast beaches before ending our trip in the vibrant city of Rio.
