Patagonia Overland between Lima ... (JLI)

From: $9090 + Kitty

Overview

122 days between Lima and Cusco or vice versa...

To travel from Lima to Cusco overland would usually take you about 12 days if you wanted to see the country of Peru properly.  But Dragoman have now made a 20 week version, which involves a massive detour to the southern tip of Patagonia, up to Rio and finally a journey across the width of the Amazon Jungle. Well why not?!...It seems a good idea to us because then you get to see the whole continent, and not just the Inca Heartland.

This jungle journey really is totally unique as the road has only just been opened. It allows us to link the jungles of Peru around Puerto Maldonado, with the Amazon of Brazil. Add to  this two 3 night stays in South America's other ecological wonderland, Brazil's vast Pantanal swamplands, and you have one of the most indepth forest overland trips ever. Then  of course we have the national parks and mountains of Argentina's and Chile's Patagonia region and of course Bolivia's massive Altiplano.
