Patagonia Overland between La Pa... (JZM)

From: $8710 + Kitty

Overview

117 days between Lima and La Paz or vice versa...

Travelling from the area of La Paz, the highest city in the world through to the wilds of the Patagonia in Chile  has always meant a journey through the Andes. But now Dragoman has introduced a new way to make the trip, which involves a massive detour across the width of the Amazon Jungle.

But now for the very best bit and for something of a first: Dragoman has pioneered the route across the Amazon Jungle between Rio and Cusco. Our new exploratory route cuts straight through the heart of Brazil's Amazon Jungle, crossing into the jungles of Peru and then climbing up the mighty Andes and onto the city of Cusco.
Rejoining the more usual routes, we head across to Chivay to see the condors, stay with Cechua Indian families, camp in the deserts of Peru, visit the Nazca lines and end our trip on the Atlantic seaboard.
