105 days between Cairo and Dar Es Salaam or vice versa...

 

What a trip! Travelling from Cairo to Dar es Salaam, this trip heads into the Western Desert, stopping at small oases before visiting Luxor, the Valley of the Kings and Aswan before crossing the Nubian desert to visit Kushite ruins and little visited temples. This trip is already a big hitter before you even get to the mountains of Ethiopia! From Gonder, you will trek through the Simien Mountains National Park, cross the wild Ethiopian highlands, visit the source of the Blue Nile near Bahir Dar and take a trip to the huge Blue Nile Falls, the second largest waterfall in Africa. You will travel through the Rift Valley to the tribal region near the Omo River, overland through the desert of northern Kenya and safari through Samburu and Lake Nakuru National Parks, as well as visit the Elsamere Born Free Foundation. We’ve included a 3 night stay on Zanzibar where you can relax on unspoiled Indian Ocean beaches and have a guided tour of the spice plantations before heading to Nairobi, the starting point for an unforgettable wildlife experience through Uganda and Rwanda where, as well as seeing habituated chimpanzees and rhinos, you’ll also come face to face with gorillas in the wild.
