Overview

124 days between Salvador Da Bahia and Cartagena or vice versa...

To travel to the Andes and miss Colombia is a real shame. Some of the most beautiful Andes scenery is in Colombia and it is an amazing country to visit. As you journey through the Andes, the landscape changes, it broadens and widens into the vast high Altiplano of Bolivia, a stunningly beautiful high plateau with azure green lakes volcanoes and salt pans. We travel overland across this harsh landscape, leaving the main roads to others and head into Chile's Atacama desert and then back into the Andes in Argentina. Here we finally leave the mountains the head for the wine growing regions the famous pampas and cordillera, home of the Gauchos, Argentina's cowboys. We ride out into the tall grasses with the gauchos and then head for Argentina's second city, Corboda. Add into this the route to Rio and the Brazilian Coast and you have an amazing trip.
