Overview

49 days between Cairo and Addis Ababa or vice versa...

For lovers of Egyptology, Egypt without Sudan is like bread without butter. The Nubian Pharaohs' came from Sudan and they established the Kush kingdom along the Nile between Khartoum and Aswan. Our journey takes us up the Nile from Egypt through this remote desert. We mingle with the camel herders and farmers who live along the green belt of the river and explore this enigmatic area. In Ethiopia, we travel across the roof of Africa, hiking in the Simien Mountains, marvelling at the ancient Christian and biblical relics and discovering one of Africa's most historic nations.
