Rajasthan is India at its most colourful! There’s the white lakeside city of Udaipur, the blue city of Jodhpur, the golden city of Jaisalmer and the bright lights of Mumbai to explore. And, dressed as they are in a kaleidoscope of colours, purple, pink and green saris, saffron orange turbans and white and yellow dhotis, you’ll be getting up close and personal with the locals: travelling through the Thar Desert on a sunset camel train, experiencing true Indian hospitality in a homestay, discovering the remote caves and temples of Ajanta and Ellora and visiting palaces fit for a maharajah. The lakeside town of Pushkar, famed for its annual camel fair is also one of this trip’s highlights.
