Experience the wonders of the land of the Incas on this short but comprehensive journey to some of the highlights of this mysterious empire. We'll spend a week in Peru's stunning Urubamba Valley, hiking the network of paths that became known as the Inca Trail, tour the Sacred Valley and visit the incredible sight of Machu Picchu, perched upon a ridge surrounded by mountains. We'll overland across the high plains of the Altiplano heading for Lake Titicaca, taking boat trips out to the Uros Islands and the Isla del Sol, birthplace of the sun and moon in Inca mythology. We end our trip in Bolivia's capital La Paz, highest city in the world.

Nights 1-7: Peru's Inca Heartland

Nights 8-10: Lake Titicaca

• Traverse the high altiplano of Peru to Lake Titicaca
• Visit to the pre-Inca Sillustani Ruins near Puno
• Boat trips to Uros Islands and Isla del Sol
• Time to explore Lake Titicaca and its ancient history
• Stay in the pretty lakeside colonial town of Copacabana

Night 11 and Final Day: La Paz

• Explore the vibrant city of La Paz

WHICH INCA TRAIL? When you book this trip, you will have a choice of either the Community Inca Trail or the Classic Inca Trail. The costs for each are included, but you must tell us when you book, if you want to book the Classic Inca Trail. If you do not tell us this you will automatically be booked onto the Community Inca Trail. For full details click here
