Starting in Rio we'll have time to discover this vibrant city before we head inland to Ouro Preto. We'll drive to the wetlands of the Pantanal, then travel deep into the Amazon on a boat trip to Manaus. After time exploring the jungle we overland across the Gran Sabana plateau heading for the River Orinoco and the border with Venezuela. There's the option of taking a trip to Angel Falls, highest in the world, then we tour the Llanos wetlands, home to anaconda and caiman. We'll travel across Venezuela, heading for the Andean town of Merida, before turning north and ending this amazing journey on the shores of the Caribbean.

Week 5: Santa Elena & the Gran Sabana

Week 8: Puerto Colombia & Caracas
