Day 1 Nairobi

• Discover the bright lights of Nairobi, East Africa's biggest city.

Day 2 Lake Manyara National Park

• Leave the skyscrapers behind and embark on an adventure into the African wilderness. Try to spot Lake Manyara's legendary tree-climbing lions and watch out for the herds of zebras, wildebeest and buffaloes that roam the surrounding plains.

Days 3-4 Serengeti National Park

• The golden grasses of the Serengeti stretch as far as the eye can see. Venture across the plains and around the distinct kopjes (rocky outcrops) to uncover the many animals that call this park home. Explore the park at dawn and dusk, when both predator and prey are most active. Witness first-hand the unrelenting cycle of life on the African savannah. Back at the lodge, relax in comfort and perhaps recount stories of the many amazing sights in the Serengeti.

Days 5 Ngorongoro Crater

• Try to spot big cats lazing in the sun during an early morning drive, perhaps passing the Simba Kopjes en route. Later, gaze over the famous Olduvai Gorge where skeletons of early human ancestors, dating back almost 20,000 years, were discovered.

Day 6 Mto Wa Mbu/Lake Manyara

• Take a game drive across the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, home to endangered black rhinos and a remarkable number of lions, impala, elephants and hippos. Visit the market town of Mto Wa Mbu en route to Lake Manyara.

Day 7 Nairobi

• Bid goodbye to the beauty of the Crater Highlands. Travel across Arusha's lush foothills, passing the shadow of Mt Meru and ending the safari in the noisy streets of Nairobi.
