Days 1-2 Hanoi

  • Slow-paced and picturesque, Hanoi is filled with temples, cafes, parks, tree-lined streets and glassy lakes. Early arrivals should get out and explore by cyclo or on foot and get a taste for French-influenced Asia. Take breakfast at KOTO Restaurant, roam the bustling streets of the Old Quarter and enjoy a traditional water puppet show.

Days 3-4 Halong Bay

  • Set sail for an adventure on the beautiful Halong Bay. Thousands of limestone peaks dot the turquoise water of the bay and there's plenty of time to explore the islands and their mysterious stalactite-encrusted caves. A night aboard the boat is a very special experience - fall asleep beneath the stars to the gentle lapping of waves against the hull.

Days 5-7 Hoi An

  • Stop by China Beach and the Marble Mountains en route to the ancient town of Hoi An. Packed with artisans, tailors and food stalls, this is a bargain-hunter's heaven. Meet some local kids and learn about their lives on a visit to a school, get clothes tailor-made or head out to the beach on a scenic bicycle ride.

Days 8-9 Ho Chi Minh City

  • Touchdown in buzzing and vibrant Ho Chi Minh City. A tasty local-style lunch awaits at the Ben Thanh Market then take time to explore the winding streets. The following day, cool off at the Dam Sen Water Park.

Days 10-11 Phnom Penh

  • Cross the border to Cambodia. Peruse Khmer sculptures at the museum, swing by the shining remnants of the Silver Pagoda or explore the Russian Market. Then it's time to relax on an afternoon cruise down the river.

Days 12-15 Siem Reap/Angkor Wat

  • Travel through rural Cambodia and explore the Angkor Wat ruins in depth, by foot and by elephant.
