Journey into the unknown with us, as we are happy to introduce a range of exploratory trips through Nepal, India, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. We have teamed up with a local operator to offer some revolutionary new trips. We will be blazing trails through some of Asia’s most enigmatic regions; from the high Himalaya of Bhutan to sultry backwaters of Bangladesh. We will see the huge variety this part of Asia has to offer. But the one thing all these trips have in common is they will be the first overland trips to run these routes, making the trips quite special indeed. Two Kingdoms
Length 17 Nights | Route Kathmandu to Calcutta
This 17 night trip from Kathmandu to Calcutta will be the first overland trip to travel through Bhutan. Perfect for travellers who want to cut new paths into one of the most enigmatic countries in the world. Our trip starts in Nepal before entering India to visit the colonial hill station of Darjeeling and the enchanting state of Sikkim. It is from here we overland into Bhutan - the Land of the Thunder Dragon. Bhutan has remained closer to its traditions than any other Himalyalan nation. It’s former king famously commented that Gross National Happiness was more import ant than Gross National Product. We will explore the cultural heartland of Bhutan visiting a number of stunning Dzongs and monasteries, including the renowned Tiger Nest, which perches high up on the side of a cliff face. Finally, after leaving Bhutan we head back into India to end our journey in Calcutta.
Bangladesh Explore
Length 15 Nights | Route Bangladesh Explore
Beginning in Calcutta and ending in Dhaka, we are aiming to open Bangladesh’s doors to tourism with this revolutionary overland trip, the first of its kind to be undertaken in Bangladesh. We will spend 16 days exploring this reclusive but dynamic country, from mangroves in the Sundarbans to tea plantations in Srimangal, from the long beaches of Cox’s Bazar to the impressive archaeological sites of Bogra. Bangladesh is a country that is determined offer up the unexpected, it is for example, one of the 1st nations on earth to ban all plastic bags.
